A night away – The KP review

So please remind me next year to not book a week off for the first week of the school summer holidays as finding a good last minute holiday deal was impossible.

My boyfriend and I were planning on booking a last minute deal away but everywhere was so expensive! We ended up planning a few nights away, two nights in Manchester, which was lovely as we visited Chester Zoo… and met Paul Scholes – which was very exciting for Kyle! But our first night was to our favourite place again, The KP in Pocklington.

We last stayed here for my birthday in November and it was just so amazing we said we’d try and come back every year. A tip for booking would be to use booking.com as The KP website won’t let you book just a one night stay!

The lodges are set in such beautiful grounds, as part of a fancy golf club everywhere is beautifully kempt.

We booked the Huxtable suite again as for the price the standard of room you get is incredible! You get a four poster super king size bed, ensuite, TV and the best of all, a private hot tub.

Most of our night was obviously spent in the hot tub, it’s so nice to sit and do absolutely nothing.

The next morning we chose not to have their breakfast as last time they weren’t really our thing – but maybe we just got a bad day- so we got up and set off to Robin Hood’s Bay!

I spent most of that day eating way too much and getting tired walking up hills, but how can I say no to fish & chips and strawberries & chocolate! Regardless of the hills, it’ll always be my favourite UK seaside place.

Where’s your favourite get away place?

Meg x
