Homeware haul

The thought of moving out soon is getting so exciting because I’m slowly starting to buy more homeware bits that I’d like in my own place. That means I’m constantly browsing so I thought I’d do a little haul of some of the bits I picked up at the weekend. Everything was from Ikea, Matalan, or Homesense, all cheap but with loads of choice, I can see the majority of my home being from here!

Mugs and cups
I’m not really sure how I managed to come back with 3 different cups, but I couldn’t really say no to any of these…

First up is my Love Island-esque water bottle. With a straw it does have a similar look to the Love Island bottles everyone is talking about but for the fraction of the price. I got this for £4.99 from Homesense!

Next up is my new Sunday morning mug. I love quirky mugs and this one does not disappoint. I really like the shape of the handle, plus it’s copper – how can you go wrong! This was £4 from Homesense.

Now my favourite of them all – this tall tumbler, which screams milkshake glass to me. It’s a slender, tall, metal cup with a copper/marble design, which reminds of milkshake glasses you get from burger places! I haven’t used it yet but I’m very excited to have an Oreo milkshake out of it, and only £5.

Bedding

Matalan is somewhere I never think to look, but I’d heard they do great homeware and I loved these large mustard cushions. I love making the cushions on my bed the statement of my room, as the rest is black and white, its nice to have a pop of colour. They’re so soft and were £8 each, I got two. To go along with the mustard, I picked up two plain grey cushion from Ikea, as I love yellow/grey together. They were only £1.50 each!

Last but not least were my two throws, both from Ikea. I love layering blankets and throws at the bottom of my bed, and I thought these two would complement the cushions perfectly. The yellow was £12 and the grey £10!

Shoes
You might be thinking why shoes are in my homeware haul, but they’re all from Matalan so I thought I’d include them as they had amazing things in! As I said, I never think to look there, especially at the clothes but I thought I’d check it out while I was there, and they had some nice pieces.

I was pretty desperate for some sandals and I was actually stuck between six pairs! The first pair is plain woven, tan sandals. Pretty standard, but I was in need of some summer shoes that can go with pretty much any outfit, and only £12! I would suggest getting a size up in these though.

I love these ones, with lace up detail, and an open crossed design on the foot. I was instantly drawn to the black pair but I know I need to get more colour into my wardrobe so ended up getting the burnt orange pair. Again, I got a size up!

Sliders are an essential for me as I cannot bear flip-flops – how anyone thinks they are comfortable, I don’t know. I have quite an ugly pair of adidas ones I wear on holiday, but I thought I’d pick some up to wear day-to-day. I was really torn between these white and silver, or an all over rose gold pair, but ended up getting the white. I thought I’d get more wear out of these, but for only £8 for the white, and £6 for the rose gold, I feel I should’ve got both!

What have you bought recently?
